Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Amedeo.ai platform, website, and all related services operated by BuildUX Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"). It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

The purpose of this AUP is to protect the integrity, availability, and safety of the Services; to protect other users of the Services; to protect third parties from harm caused through misuse of the Services; and to ensure that Amedeo is used lawfully and responsibly.

This AUP applies to all users of the Services — including free and paid users, individuals and organizations — and to all uses of the Services, including submitted Input Data, Pipeline Runs, and Output Data.

In addition to this AUP, your use of the Services is governed by the terms and acceptable use policies of our AI provider partners — Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google — whose APIs power our pipeline. Violations of those providers' policies may also result in restrictions on your access to the Services.

Permitted Uses

The Services are designed and intended to be used for the following lawful purposes:

  • Analyzing your own product, application, or software to identify AI integration opportunities
  • Generating strategic product recommendations for internal business planning, roadmapping, and investor discussions
  • Exploring AI-native or AI-first product directions for products you own or have authority to analyze
  • Analyzing publicly available competitor products as part of legitimate market research
  • Educational exploration of how AI can enhance SaaS product categories
  • Using Output Data internally within your organization for product development decisions

Prohibited Content and Inputs

You may not submit Input Data or use the Services to process, generate, distribute, or facilitate content that:

3.1 Illegal or Harmful Content

  • Violates any applicable local, state, federal, national, or international law or regulation
  • Promotes, facilitates, or instructs on illegal activities, including fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or circumvention of export controls
  • Constitutes, promotes, or facilitates violence, terrorism, or hate speech against any individual or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic
  • Involves child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes or exploits minors in any way
  • Promotes or facilitates self-harm or suicide, particularly in content directed at vulnerable individuals

3.2 Deceptive or Misleading Content

  • Is materially false, misleading, or designed to deceive users, investors, regulators, or any third party
  • Constitutes disinformation, propaganda, or coordinated inauthentic behavior
  • Impersonates any real person, organization, or AI system in a misleading manner
  • Presents AI-generated Output Data as original human research without appropriate disclosure

3.3 Unauthorized Third-Party Data

  • Contains Personal Data of third parties for which you do not have appropriate consent or a lawful basis to process
  • Contains proprietary, confidential, or trade secret information belonging to third parties that you are not authorized to disclose
  • Violates the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights of any third party

Zero Tolerance: Submission of CSAM, content that facilitates violence, or content designed to harm minors will result in immediate account termination, data deletion, and referral to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

Prohibited Conduct

In using the Services, you agree not to engage in any of the following conduct:

4.1 Technical Misuse

  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, our infrastructure, other users' accounts, or our AI providers' systems
  • Using automated bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access, extract, or index the Services without our written authorization
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the source code, model weights, or proprietary methodology underlying the Amedeo pipeline
  • Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems or networks
  • Introducing malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code into the Services
  • Circumventing any technical measures, rate limits, access controls, or safety filters implemented in the Services
  • Submitting prompt injection attacks or adversarial inputs designed to manipulate our AI pipeline or bypass safety mechanisms

4.2 Competitive and Exploitative Misuse

  • Using the Services or Output Data to build, train, evaluate, or improve a product or AI model that directly competes with or substitutes for the Amedeo platform, without our express written consent
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially distributing access to the Services or Output Data to third parties without our express written authorization
  • Misrepresenting affiliation with Amedeo.ai or BuildUX Inc. to third parties

4.3 Abusive or Disruptive Conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, or intimidating any Amedeo employee, contractor, or user
  • Submitting fraudulent or false information to obtain access to the Services or circumvent usage limits
  • Creating multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing restrictions or obtaining multiple free trials
  • Engaging in any conduct that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure

AI-Specific Use Restrictions

Given that Amedeo is an AI Decision Intelligence platform that generates strategic recommendations, we apply additional restrictions specific to the nature of AI-generated outputs:

  • You may not use Output Data as the sole basis for decisions that materially affect individuals' employment, credit, healthcare, housing, or legal rights without appropriate human review and oversight
  • You may not represent Output Data as certified, audited, or regulated professional advice — including legal, financial, medical, or engineering advice — or deploy Output Data in contexts where such representation is implied
  • You may not use the Services to generate product strategies intended to facilitate surveillance, mass data collection without consent, or systems designed to manipulate users psychologically against their interests
  • You may not use the Services to generate content designed to interfere with democratic processes, elections, or civic participation
  • You may not use Output Data to make claims about third-party products or companies that you know to be false or that you have not independently verified
  • You may not remove, alter, or conceal any AI-disclosure notices or metadata that indicate content is AI-generated, where such disclosure is required by applicable law

Data and Privacy Obligations

When using the Services, particularly when uploading documents containing third-party data, you must:

  • Comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws in your jurisdiction and in the jurisdictions of any individuals whose data you submit
  • Ensure that you have a lawful basis to process any Personal Data submitted as Input Data, including obtaining necessary consents where required
  • Not submit Special Categories of Personal Data (as defined under GDPR) — including health data, biometric data, political opinions, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation — unless you have explicit consent from the data subjects and have notified us in advance
  • Not submit government-issued identification numbers, financial account credentials, or protected health information (PHI) through the Services
  • Comply with the data processing obligations described in our Privacy Policy, including as they apply to you as a Data Controller when your customers' data is involved

Intellectual Property Obligations

You are solely responsible for ensuring that all Input Data you submit does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party. You must not submit:

  • Copyrighted content for which you do not have a license to process through AI systems
  • Trade secrets or confidential business information belonging to third parties
  • Content subject to non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements that prohibit its processing by third parties
  • Patented or proprietary technical information submitted without authorization

We reserve the right to remove User Content that we reasonably believe infringes third-party intellectual property rights, and to respond to valid DMCA takedown notices directed at content associated with your account.

Enforcement and Consequences

We reserve the right to investigate potential violations of this AUP and to take any action we deem appropriate in response to a violation, including:

  • Issuing a warning and requesting that you cease the violating activity
  • Temporarily suspending your access to the Services pending investigation
  • Permanently terminating your account without refund
  • Removing or refusing to process User Content that violates this AUP
  • Disclosing information to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law or where we reasonably believe a violation involves criminal activity or serious harm to individuals
  • Pursuing civil legal remedies for damages caused by your violation

We may act without prior notice in cases where we reasonably believe that a violation poses an imminent risk of harm to individuals, third parties, or the integrity of the Services. Our enforcement decisions are made in our sole discretion, and we are not obligated to provide detailed explanations for enforcement actions in all circumstances.

Violation of this AUP does not relieve you of any obligation to pay outstanding fees for Services already delivered.

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of the Services that violates this AUP, or if you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed through the Services, please report it to us promptly at legal@buildux.com.

When reporting a potential violation, please include as much detail as possible — including the nature of the violation, any relevant links or identifiers, and your contact information. We will review all reports in good faith and take appropriate action. We cannot guarantee a response to every report, but we take all reports seriously.

For DMCA-specific copyright infringement notices, please send your notice to legal@buildux.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice" and include all information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).

Updates to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time to address new risks, regulatory requirements, or changes to the Services. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email and update the Effective Date at the top of this Policy. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated AUP constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

We encourage you to review this AUP periodically. If you have questions about whether a specific use is permitted, please contact us at legal@buildux.com before proceeding.
